Employees UAN allotment/activation

Madam/Sir,

Kind reference is invited to Circular No. WSU/Member ProfilePt1/E-965649/2025-26/22 dated 30/Jul/2025 vide which it was informed that in order to ensure error-free generation of UAN, the allotment/generation of UAN will be done only through UMANG App using FAT w.e.f. 1st August, 2025.

In this regard, it is observed that representations have been received from various stakeholders citing delays in generation of UAN and requesting some grace period to adapt to the new functionality. Therefore, it has been decided to re-instate the functionality for generation of UAN by Employers temporarily till 15th August, 2025 to facilitate the generation of UANs for members who had joined the establishments prior 01.08.2025. This will also facilitate timely remittance of dues in r/o all such Members by the Employers.

Further, all the Regional Offices are directed to have a UAN generation through FAT desk in the PRO to facilitate the generation of UAN for the members. In addition, intensive campaigns at all the Universities, ITIs and also in the Career/Job Portals may also be planned to facilitate UAN generation prior to joining any job.
